🇸🇬 SINGAPORE LAUNCHES "ONLINE SAFETY" POLICE WITH DELETE POWERS OVER TIKTOK & META Singapore just gave itself sweeping authority to scrub content from TikTok, Facebook, Instagram, and even the App Store - no court needed. The new Online Safety Commission starts with scams, deepfakes, and harassment. But the mandate creeps: fake profiles, "revenge content," and anything deemed harmful are next on the chopping block. "Free speech still protected," the government insists - just don't post deepfakes, impersonate anyone, or cross vague red lines the state gets to define. Meta and Google are already falling in line, scrambling to self-censor before Singapore does it for them. The city-state isn't asking Big Tech to moderate anymore. It's taking over the job.
