I'm seeing people say we need to walk away from Mateus Fernandes, but the other targets would cost the exact same money and aren't even in the same bracket. Anderson was the top target, but we had to pivot to Mateus, who the club views as the ideal alternative. We genuinely cannot afford to miss out on him he’s a must-have. The 3rd midfielder can be any of Baleba, Tchouameni, or Scott, but that second midfield spot has to be Fernandes.
