@Selmuwu then it’s the responsibility of authoritative figures. Not once does fault fall onto the author. Spreading hateful comments directly attacks multiple people from the source, you don’t need to wait for harm to potentially be done.

@Selmuwu That’s still a controlled variable, and that still stems from one person and one person only. It’s not the authors fault that happened, it’s the persons responsibility to be right of mind, and if they aren’t old enough for that,

@deanweechesterd yeah, I'd say the same thing about constantly reading rape and incest. Some people are affected by it, some aren't. Same way talking about being grossed out by it can lead to harm to authors and it could also not bring harm

@deanweechesterd I also agree that leaving hate comments on fics is bad, as I said before I'm a defender of don't like don't read. But....yeah, being grossed out by something and posting it outside of a fic comment section is still not a bad thing. Preaching non-censorship goes both ways

@Selmuwu The filter system on ao3 is very useful and there for a reason! There’s no reason to be finding a fanfic with these tags that you don’t like if you filter them out in the first place,
