@despair28k3 I mean, it can make sense if that's the game's approach and if the game does a good job at being atmospheric while aiming for realism. It can be a nice escape too, in a different way.
But realism just for the sake of looking good? Couldn't care less.

The fact that Genshin doesn't go for ultra realism definitely gives it its peculiar charm, but more importantly, it's also part of a coherent art direction.
In a game that revolves so much around legends and fairy tales, these visuals fit perfectly.

im so glad this was said. i see so many genshin haters spit on the game for "trash visuals" simply because it doesn't pursue ultra realism like most games, but its warm and bright atmosphere is what makes genshin so unique & beautiful imo!!

I love this first music teaser for Snezhnaya. It has the scent of Travail's music, but with more serenity, like some inner sorrow.
The most beautiful part: the fleeting switch to major mode at 0:28 from the organ, almost instantly denied by the piano that goes back to F# minor.
