Facebook just reminded me I started my tech journey 8 years ago. I went from data entry to Frontend dev in 8 months. From $15/hr to jumping into an industry that offered 100k+ salaries w/ 2-3 years of experience. All before graduation w/ a degree in psychology & art

Taking client calls has me flexing every manger, leader, and coach skill I have. This is what makes coming in and supporting an org at the c level is fun and exciting

@blackgirlbytes Not sure if this helps but I used to check my nieces Spotify history or Netflix history to see if anything like that helps I would sometimes be able to see recent stuff they looked at to get context But a lot of times it distracted all of us 😂

my daughter wants me to sing a song, and I have no clue which song it is. She just keep saying eee, eee, eee. I've tried every song in the world, but she doesnt want me to give up.

Maybe I’ll just start with what I’ve been working on lately I turned Founders Choice into a founders studio. It’s a cross between an accelerator or VC firm but better.

It’s Black Maternal Health Week and I want to share why I disappeared 2025 & slowly coming back. The joys of bringing life met the complexities of being a Black. Doctors didn’t listen, bed rest isolated me, labor was long and hard. My ending was better than I imagined.

i know why i liked goose when i worked at Block..because the internal version had so many built-in, internal MCP servers. Plus.. recipes. I didn't do anything manually. It would read my Slack, give me daily reports on what I missed and what I had to get done, create documentation tickets for me and my team every Monday, generate release notes..I gotta set all this up from scratch for myself..and it's not as streamlined anymore. Cant believe this how yall was living ...with minimal automation

It’s going to be interesting to see how this changes how dev teams evaluate open source packages or if they will just go with paid off the shelf solutions The idea that a wildly supported and well used project is making this big of a pivot on top of the supply chain attacks 🙃
Bailey Pumfleet@pumfleet

Open source is dead. That’s not a statement we ever thought we’d make. @calcom was built on open source. It shaped our product, our community, and our growth. But the world has changed faster than our principles could keep up. AI has fundamentally altered the security landscape. What once required time, expertise, and intent can now be automated at scale. Code is no longer just read. It is scanned, mapped, and exploited. Near zero cost. In that world, transparency becomes exposure. Especially at scale. After a lot of deliberation, we’ve made the decision to close the core @calcom codebase. This is not a rejection of what open source gave us. It’s a response to what risks AI is making possible. We’re still supporting builders, releasing the core code under a new MIT-licensed open source project called cal. diy for hobbyists and tinkerers, but our priority now is simple: Protecting our customers and community at all costs. This may not be the most popular call. But we believe many companies will come to the same conclusion. My full explanation below ↓

I’ve had issues with @railway since the beginning of this year. I freely promoted this platform for years but I’ve moved my major apps off because they had too many issues lately. So glad I did this, we’re currently going through pen testing and this would have been horrible
Wilson Wilson@euboid

I love @Railway. Been a happy customer for 5 years. But today a caching misconfiguration let users see and act as other users. Names, personal data, medical info leaked between customers. This after weeks of almost daily incidents. It's time to switch. Alternatives?

@Dominus_Kelvin @Railway Moved all of my sites with paying customers to aws. It was a headache and took a while but it feels “safer” I’m testing out render for my demo and internal apps I build a lot of poc so I just need somewhere easy to deploy

@tszaks @Railway Security is a big deal for me personally and it’s a huge requirement for two of my apps with paying customers. The fact that a push went out that allowed users to see each other's data was the last straw for me 😕

Well, lately someone has been adding “viruses” to this code, so when we use the package to build stuff on our computers, it messes up our computers by stealing important information. This is really bad if this code is used because whole websites can be compromised too

We’re having constant supply chain attacks on very popular packages used to build websites. This is wild to me because how do we build in this environment where nothing feels safe? Plain english breakdown ⬇️
