“In my Father’s house are many mansions”... He didn’t specify the color scheme or the dragon policy. So who knows? Maybe there is a pink castle with a bridge and a dragon, waiting with her name on it 😀

Kids have this amazing way of grabbing the big, beautiful truths and making them 'theirs' That’s the faith Jesus actually told us to copy. No cynicism, just pure excitement that Daddy's building something awesome for us

Continuing our Bible story about how Jesus died and rose again. And how He has gone to prepare a 'castle' for us in heaven, and will come back for us A - oh Jesus, please I want a pink castle, with a bridge so I can go inside, and a dragon 😂🤣

Always gladdens my heart when my 3 year old daughter says "Mummy, let's see what's Jesus going to say to us tonight" And after reading, she turns to me and asks me to tell her a story about Jesus I now save my devotion time till bedtime so we do it together. Best times really

Dear new mum 🤍 Allow people help you o. If they offer to help, NEVER say “don’t worry.” Ask for help. Let them carry baby. Let them bathe baby. Let them cook, clean, or even just sit with you. You are not supposed to do this alone. That “I can handle it” strength, is the same thing that pushes many mums quietly into burnout Rest is not laziness. Support is not weakness. Dotting mother go soon breakdown o!

After a long day, I was so tired. I put my 4-year-old daughter to bed. As I was about to leave her room, she said, Mummy, let’s pray. Mummy let’s do devotion. I thought I could skip that day. After reading our Bible devotion I was so glad that we did. This made me happy. We’ve built that routine and I see now that my children enjoy praying. See my life oo, small dodging now they are holding me accountable 😂🥹

I was today years old when I learnt some people actually put weights on babies to sleep train them. I was already mortified by the cry-it-out method, but this one takes the cake for me. And yes, in theory I can see why people think it makes sense: babies often startle or wake themselves when they move their arms and legs, so the idea is that “stabilising” them will make them sleep longer. But that is exactly why it doesn’t work safely. Babies are supposed to move, stir, wake, and rouse. Why are you restricting their movement. Adding weight does not teach sleep, it can interfere with safe sleep by adding breathing, overheating, and suffocation risks. Please follow your health visitor’s advice on safe-sleep. Is this something you can do?

A man brought his wife and newborn to our unit. The baby was crying uncontrollably, and the mother was in tears. From the signs, it was clear the baby was hungry. While taking her history, she said she hadn’t breastfed since the previous day. The baby had stopped feeding from the left breast, MIL said the milk was “sour.” The baby was only feeding from the right, but that also became difficult because of cracked nipple. So now, both breasts were engorged, painful, and the baby was left hungry. What did we do? Warm compress, pain relief (diclofenac suppository), expressed the milk, and fed the baby. Both mother and baby were fine shortly after. Let’s clear this up: breast milk does NOT go sour. If a baby refuses one breast, it’s usually due to positioning, latch issues, or adjusting to milk flow, not because the milk is bad. Please, don’t let myths starve your baby.💝

Few weeks later, guess who tried to jump down from the bed again? You guessed right. Thankfully, I was able to catch her in time, there and then I realized children might just be the reason why parents develop high blood pressure.

My one year old fell from the bed, the bed frame is a bit high, back of the head got swollen and looked like it is filled with pus, carried her to the hospital, doctor checked her said she is alright, I should go home. I refused, told him to maybe run a CT scan, that I feel her head is broken, he laughed and said ‘madam go home and if after a week the pus doesn’t come out, bring her back but I promise you she is fine.’ Two days later, the pus came out.

I slept on the bed with my baby, used different pillows to guide her cause she was always rolling. I made sure the pillows were enough and was checking from time to time. While watching her I slept off and the next thing that woke me up was a loud sound followed by her loud cry. She rolled and fell down from the bed. Till today I do not know how cause I was so sure she was safe. Sleep cleared from my eye immediately and she didn’t stop crying too. For a week I used pillows to build a shield for her and I felt so bad. I still do that till today.

My son started attempting to walk at 10+ He was always excited whenever we told him to take a step, he took 3 to 4 steps and sits About two weeks after tragedy struck, he fell from a height and his left ankle was affected He couldn't stand anymore, that meant I had to carry him around. He was in pain, he wouldn't eat, he wanted me to allow him play but when I dropped him he discovered he couldn't stand to play, he was frustrated

Entered the labor room for all my kids . Didn’t faint . Held my wives hand . Whispered in her ears . Praying under my breath . Made sure I was the one who slept in the hospital with her and baby from beginning till the end . She is even more beautiful to me now than ever before .

I am actually very curious to hear from men who went into the labour room with their wives. What went through your mind? How did you feel? Did you faint? 😭
