@saltsmellyfa @igoralves_07 I've thought of it but the whole process is so complicated I don't know how much use people would get out of it. I have a few tutorials on Tumblr but I would have to make a way more in-depth one to show how to use the scale brushes to the fullest effect.

@saltsmellyfa @igoralves_07 The programs I mainly use are clip studio paint, Photoshop, and Paintstorm studios

@saltsmellyfa @igoralves_07 It's a weird series of brushes I made that create a series of non overlapping scale structures. I've also made versions that mimic fish scales, warts, turbicles, and skin pores. they have to be used in conjunction with photoshop to achieve that 3D look.

@igoralves_07 I make 3D models for reference but the illustrations are done by hand. The scales for this illustration are hand drawn with a bevel and emboss layer applied to them. To give them a 3D look.
