I'm now a proud Co-Owner of an upcoming German streetwear brand. Still waiting for the notary's response, but am more than ready for the future. Clothes have always been something I've been interested in since I was a teenager. Now it's time to make the dream a reality and work more than ever. And of course, you can be sure that I'll implement Automations and Agents into the eCom side of the business 😉.

Today, I interviewed a candidate for a Junior Machine Learning Engineer position. I began with basic questions, but the candidate used buzzwords to explain concepts. When I probed deeper into those terms, she couldn’t provide clear explanations. I asked her to write code for MinMaxScaler and StandardScaler. However, I noticed she was copying from ChatGPT. When I asked about the output ranges of these scalers, she was unable to answer. She demonstrated a weak foundation in RAG,, neural networks, and core machine learning concepts. She then mentioned that she is new to ML and more experienced in full-stack development. Since I have a strong understanding of frontend technologies, I shifted the interview to focus on React.js and Next.js. While she could describe these technologies, her explanations lacked the depth I expected. The candidate was referred by a fellow Machine Learning Engineer, who is her college friend, which is why we conducted the interview. I am also passively looking for engineers to refer to for the following roles: - Full-Stack Developer - Machine Learning Engineer (must have a strong grasp of ML fundamentals and system design for ML applications). If you believe you have strong end-to-end project experience (not just API integration), please reach out. Send your resume to me.

Got into a YC-backed company, featured on a podcast with 19k+ views, cleared my trial period, and my posts were blowing up, college peers were talking about it. ~1.5 months later I got laid off :( Not that my work was bad(I had ~70 prs merged), but no reason given. They even hired for a similar role around the same time.

Most entrepreneurs waste 6+ months learning AI skills they'll never use. After $7M in revenue from my AI businesses & helping 3800+ students build their own AI agencies... Here are the 3 approaches that work to learn AI as an entrepreneur:
