Another long-overdue page on DITAWriter has been updated: the listing for DITA Consultants (ditawriter.com/dita-consultan…). Since the last update, many DITA-related consulting firms have come and gone, though I have made several new additions to this list and updated their descriptions

Just posted a long-overdue update to my Companies Using DITA (ditawriter.com/companies-usin…) page on DITAWriter, now with 802 firms, and highlighting all "new" firms that are using the technical writing standard. Part of my prep for my talk at the CIDM ConVEx conference next month.

I used Claude.ai to convert a legacy Model T car manual to DITA. I found more issues with consistency in coding and style and learned that it can act as a SME in some cases (not always welcome). But AI-based conversion is here to stay. ditawriter.com/converting-mod….

The Companies Using DITA list on DITAWriter.com has been updated. This update involved removing companies that have been acquired, merged, or no longer exist, but the list remains substantial. ditawriter.com/companies-usin… #ditaxml

Converting Content and Coding DITA with Claude AI - go.shr.lc/3Cx69Q7 I put @AnthropicAI's Claude.ai to work converting existing content to #DITAXML. While the results were not flawless, the results suggest AI in #techcomm is here to stay.

About a third of the way done updating the database behind ditawriter.com/companies-usin… (not posted yet). It is clear that the total number of DITA-using companies will drop, mainly due to mergers. But based on unpublished research, I know there are more firms out there using #DITAXML
