@noelmjkelly Thank you, I think it has been helpful to hear the various responses. I know I have been trained very well and am confident I have been taught the surgical skills to do the job. I just wonder whether there is room to improve training of some of the “softer” skills 🤷🏻‍♀️

I am nearly 40. I am nearly a consultant. But today, I still found myself doubting myself again whilst running an operating list. Please #MedTwitter tell me something will just “click”? Or am I just an oddity? 😕 we don’t seem to teach trainees how to actually be a consultant 🧐
