@donalgreene Thats the problem. Our fitness is a shambles and whatever he has going on in Belfast it suits him to have the weekend off. 99% of fambase are against him now so he has no chance pulling this back

@irishwill83 Dundalk did after their initial success and it backfired when the rich owners left. Rovers is a more sustainable model, producing players though their academy (they just sold one to Arsenal for €2M)… not apples to apples.

@donalgreene Did Dundalk & Rovers not spend money recruiting players within LOI &further afield to equip their success both domestically & in Europe?Which successful clubs don’t spend? LOI is ahead of Irish League right now for sure, but TL has coaching skills to see Derry at least challenge

@donalgreene @DominicBRNKMN Below average you say? Can you point out a couple of ~45k-50k vehicle out there that have an average build quality you expect?

@irishwill83 Yeah they bought that. It’s clear to see the gulf in standards between the two leagues - Shels v Linfield last year as an example. You think Bradley would give the rovers lads a week off if they had 9 points from their first 8 games?

@donalgreene His Irish League standards saw only the 3rd club ever Irish club reach league/group phase of European competition. While I agree Derry have spent a lot, particularly on more experienced players, I think TL will be successful there.

@MWCrispyRoll I fully agree. They should merge, starting with the underage leagues. Certain clubs up north would be dead against it though. We might have to wait for a united ireland for that to happen 👀

@donalgreene I still find it crazy in a way that this tiny island has two separate professional football leagues operating on it with no interaction whatsoever.

Went to Vestmannaeyjar to try and find out more about the homeplace of Heimir Hallgrimsson and ended up meeting some close friends and family who shone a light on how island life shaped the character of Ireland's manager Our @IndoSport doc is here youtube.com/watch?v=cqx8a_…

Waterford are in trouble and I don’t think this is a Jon Daly issue. Just glance at these highlights, it’s like they’re playing walking football. Zero urgency, no pressing, completely flat. youtu.be/r3_keIT9k4s?is…

@bchesky In retrospect it’s obvious but at the time it was a risky category with a low probability of success.

This is Lovable's website 1 year ago vs now. It's absolutely crazy to me what you can change in a single year. When I joined Lovable, the team was sitting in a small co-working space in Stockholm. The energy was super high. I remember meeting the team in person for the first time and being blown away by everyone's stories and backgrounds. I kinda knew this is going to be something. But honestly I would have never imagined what Lovable turned out to be. One of the fastest growing startups in history, a multi-billion dollar company, a global brand built by just a handful of people. From the inside, nothing really has changed. I mean we 20x'd the team, are operating now across multiple offices around the world. But at the end of the day I am still just as energized as I was when I joined 13 months ago. And I think I know why. The people. You 20x a team and somehow still end up with the same energy in the room. The design and brand team is growing like crazy and every new person that joins just adds to it. It's getting more and more fun when you work with people that inspire you. Been reflecting a lot and here's my take: If you're building something right now and it feels small - keep going. Your first scrappy website, the tiny team around you, the 1 room co-working space. All of it is part of the story. Most importantly focus on having fun while building something. And don't think too small. The tools to build something real have never been more accessible. The only thing missing is the belief. Very glad that I get to experience this first hand at Lovable. But even more glad to see fellow founder friends chasing their dreams and making it happen.

Are we really wasting taxpayers money demolishing a 6,000 sq ft house in the middle of a housing crisis?? Of course you can’t build where you like but use common sense and turn it into a women and children’s shelter or something. rte.ie/news/leinster/…
