What President Trump posted was not blasphemy. As Christians, we are commanded in Scripture to lay hands on the sick and pray for their healing (Mark 16:18). When Trump shared that image and message, he wasn’t claiming to be Jesus or putting himself in the place of God. He was simply expressing that, as a follower of Jesus Christ, he believes in the power of prayer and the authority Christians have been given to lay hands on the sick. There’s a big difference between claiming to be Christ and claiming to follow Christ. Trump was doing the latter, openly identifying as a Christian who believes in the healing power of God.

As a Catholic, I voted for Trump for his policies, not his Truth social posts. Should he have posted them? No. But policies which attack truth & restrict religious liberty (the Democrat Party) are MUCH more harmful to the Body of Christ than memes. Let's not lose perspective.
