@barbara_franchi @dr_braid @DrStephR @AnnaGDreadful @JoanPassey @FloStadt There's a deeper negotiation going on here around the role of fantasy + whose narrative gets to be truest or most authentic to the "spirit" of the past. Maybe it's the "metafiction" that is too traditionally oriented, and something like "historiographic play" is more accurate?
