Meanwhile despite taking charge of Man City for the same amount of time (64 games), he has never issued them a single red card.

This "Warriors needed KD to beat LeBron" narrative has to be one of the most low IQ takes ever pushed by the media.
Do people just have no idea how to think?
Warriors were up 3-1 with Curry playing like a shell of himself in 2016 due to MCL injury and it took multiple miracles for LeBron to narrowly come back to win the series by a single possession.
All of a sudden, a team that won 73 games the season was somehow to be forever done, unanimous MVP Curry would somehow never be good again according to these mentally-challenged takes, and adding KD was the ONLY way they could beat LeBron, even though they basically had him beat with Harrison Barnes averaging 9 points on 35/31/60 splits in the Finals.

The quadruple Arsenal talk started in January if not before.
That's setting an impossible bar that's been reached never in English football history.
If they win the Premier League, that IS a massive success. Reaching the Champions League quarter-finals, on the back of the semis last year, IS success. They are growing.
Comparing them to the greatest sides in history and then criticise them every time they fall short, more than holding them to high standards, is in my opinion just a way to deny them credit for what they're actually achieving.
Having said that, the defeat to Southampton is certainly a disappointment.

Let’s have a conversation about how much of an idiot you have to be to use a Quadruple (which no club in history has ever managed for a reason) as an expected achievement for a club that hasn’t won a league in 22 seasons and has never won a Champions League. Painfully thick.

Looking back at it now, it was a miracle how Wenger kept us in the CL for 22 consecutive years. Selling our best players season after season to balance the books. Without the financial restrictions of building the Emirates, he wins another 2 or 3 titles easily.
