To (near) quote Steinbeck ‘The Cause’ of Scotland remains unwon. Ex-SNP member whose criticism of the SNP is bc we / it must be better in order to persuade.

Saw this photo of my Auld Da (now gone) for the first time today. Taken in the late 60s in Croatia. That’s him wearing his SNP t-shirt. How far the SNP has come since then, and how far he thought it had from its core objective in the years since Sturgeon’s New SNP took over.

I can personally confirm, first hand, that the Scots have taken over Boston and brought only happiness and joy. The bars… for sure, but we’ve also seen folks at breakfast, at the playgrounds with kids. It’s a jolt of fun everyone needed! What a gift this World Cup is!

I see the SNP National Council has its priorities straight.

@drunkpopinjay I've partied with the Scots when working across the pond. Fantastic people to be around. You are welcome at my home for the barbeque any time!

@katrosenfield Pleasure. My favourite place in 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 is Applecross. If you want romantic, stay at the Applecross Inn for at least a night if you can. It’s in a gorgeous spot, the food is great and there’s plenty of whisky. Drive in over the Bealach na Ba pass and leave via the road to Shieldaig.

Do I know anyone in Scotland (or Scotland-adjacent) who would like to recommend me some places to visit/stay while I'm there for 3-4 days in September? Bonus if they are a) romantic, b) haunted, or c) haunted by amorous ghosts

@katrosenfield And finally, even though I live in Glasgow, if you’re choosing a city for a night or or two, choose Edinburgh.

@katrosenfield Buy the book ‘Scotland the best’ by Peter Irvine. It’s the one Scottish people use. If you want castles and mountains drive up the west coast to Skye stopping at Eilean Donan Castle on the way. Drive over the Bealach na Ba pass and have lunch / dinner at the Applecross Inn.
