We had an inspiring convocation last week where we were encouraged to do Whatever it Takes to reach the kids in the empty chair. We heard from Ashley Spaulding, BOE President, Emily Valdez, DTA President, and our new superintendent Dr. Corey Gibson. DTA wishes you a great year!

Today Dr. Gibson spoke to our new teachers about the empty chair philosophy. At the center of everything we do, we need to think of the student in the empty chair. We are looking forward to working together to make this a great year for all students and staff.

Dandra Arter, the Media Specialist at Clear Creek Elementary, has been honored for the Kansas Teacher of the Year from USD 232 elementary schools. Mrs. Arter will represent the district in the 2025 Kansas Teacher of the Year program. Congrats, Mrs. Arter! We are so proud of you!
