I think some of the ire I see around here directed towards working moms comes from women who might not stand to make much in paid employment and for whom not working is simply an easier choice, due to less opportunity cost. Thinking of the “why would you pay someone your whole paycheck to watch your baby while you work a reception desk?” type of rhetoric.
