@dwiel All those zeroes better be HEX zeroes. We’re not stopping at 10 million.

Terry is an AI toolpath driven robot by @dwiel Terran Robotics building the first house of its kind at @Proto_Town for @joshuafarahzad and @MerleNye. Wild how viral Proto Town has gone this week! Awesome to witness this slice of history.

@UpintheValley no rebar! we are ruthless in our quest to simplify. it has meant more structural engineering, material science and R&D up front, but the payback is the best homes at unbeatable prices.

@MafewBlue we leave a top plate like any stick frame build that you can attach whatever roof you want on. not automated, yet.

@dwiel how does the roof work for a house like this? is that process also automated?

For the past two years, some folks in Texas have been creating a new hardware city out in the middle of nowhere. It's called Proto-Town, and it's both weird and wonderful. There are startups and people living in trailers right next to their machines. They've never let the media visit. But we managed to get our cameras in there. Come see m.youtube.com/watch?v=qIob2-…

NEW: The hard-tech world is buzzing about a band of “startup cowboys” in Texas — they’re building futuristic robots, 3D-printed homes, and just got approval for a nuclear test reactor.

Prototypes of the ARK 12S CAN ESC are on the way! Trying out these low profile solder in standoffs for a solder-less assembly. Can be used with screws or soldering.

@yacineMTB 100% I've got an internal fork of an open source project I'd love to contribute back to, but it would take 100x more time to package up PRs and contribute than it took to build the fork in the first place.

@MightofMe @chris_dalke now that it has been said out loud, this is actually exactly why I've been following your work. I love the way you parameterize architecture. Might you be interested in having robots autonomously bring these designs into reality?

You would not believe the discount you can get off lab hardware if you’re willing to reverse engineer the serial connections and buy used. 50x easily.

𝗔𝘁 𝗡𝗲𝘂𝗿𝗮𝗰𝗼𝗿𝗲, 𝘄𝗲’𝗿𝗲 𝗺𝗮𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗶𝘁 𝗮 𝗽𝗿𝗶𝗼𝗿𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝘁𝗼 𝘀𝗽𝗼𝘁𝗹𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗮𝗻𝗶𝗲𝘀 𝗯𝘂𝗶𝗹𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗳𝘂𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗿𝗼𝗯𝗼𝘁𝗶𝗰𝘀. We just visited @KAIKAKU_AI to chat with the team behind robotic systems designed to automate repetitive tasks in restaurants, from ingredient dispensing to assembling meals in seconds. We’re getting out of the office and into labs across the robotics ecosystem, creating content with the teams pushing the field forward, and we’ve got plenty more planned. If you’re a robotics company and want to share what you’re building with the right audience, drop a comment below and lets continue to grow the community!
