Terry is an AI toolpath driven robot by @dwiel Terran Robotics building the first house of its kind at @Proto_Town for @joshuafarahzad and @MerleNye. Wild how viral Proto Town has gone this week! Awesome to witness this slice of history.
English

@UpintheValley no rebar! we are ruthless in our quest to simplify. it has meant more structural engineering, material science and R&D up front, but the payback is the best homes at unbeatable prices.
English

Proto-Town is such an awesome place to build. We are wrapping up our first home there now and planning our next build set to start shortly.

For the past two years, some folks in Texas have been creating a new hardware city out in the middle of nowhere. It's called Proto-Town, and it's both weird and wonderful. There are startups and people living in trailers right next to their machines. They've never let the media visit. But we managed to get our cameras in there. Come see m.youtube.com/watch?v=qIob2-…

@R2rule1 @JarettGross @Proto_Town @joshuafarahzad @MerleNye We already add fiber and already just one robot per build There is a 30s tool change every couple hours to switch between hammer and claw.
English

@JarettGross @dwiel @Proto_Town @joshuafarahzad @MerleNye Put clay with a robot, than use another robot to hammer it.
It looks unnecessary..
Adding dry grass in to clay will make it stronger building material, which can be 3d print with only one robot.

@MafewBlue we leave a top plate like any stick frame build that you can attach whatever roof you want on. not automated, yet.
English

@dwiel how does the roof work for a house like this? is that process also automated?
English

@Deuchetard Metal forming and metal working more generally are def the most analogous processes
English

@dwiel It's a lot like metal forming between two CNC arms with sheet, but for a building!
English

@alder_riley Would love to show you around, were going to be having a demo day in the next few weeks can you you an invite by dm

@yacineMTB 100% I've got an internal fork of an open source project I'd love to contribute back to, but it would take 100x more time to package up PRs and contribute than it took to build the fork in the first place.
English

@MightofMe @chris_dalke now that it has been said out loud, this is actually exactly why I've been following your work. I love the way you parameterize architecture. Might you be interested in having robots autonomously bring these designs into reality?
English

@chris_dalke Glad you like my work! :)

It's super fascinating (but not surprising) that game developers often build user interfaces that are on par or better than commercial mission planning & geospatial tools

@Neuracore_AI @KAIKAKU_AI Terran Robotics builds robots that transform subsoil into extraordinary homes. Would love to have you out to one of our builds

We just visited @KAIKAKU_AI to chat with the team behind robotic systems designed to automate repetitive tasks in restaurants, from ingredient dispensing to assembling meals in seconds.
We’re getting out of the office and into labs across the robotics ecosystem, creating content with the teams pushing the field forward, and we’ve got plenty more planned.
