idk if it caused ur battery being cooked, but the lack of solid base makes dust or something randomly break internal components. the plastic cover only lasts so long and then u need to take it off because of wear & tear. i had to buy a new one, but it was sad that i couldnt claim warranty on my last one because i was forced to buy through lethal gaming because my original order from the official website just randomly gets canceled after like a week.
