The fact that you can legitimately just chill during crowded parking lot exits is what makes this tech so mindblowing. Zero stress or concern that it’s going to embarrass me or do something stupid. V14 is so good at making fast decisions and blending in naturally. Far better than any version before it.

Just completed my longest ever single day road trip in the Cybertruck. Here are the stats: • 946 miles driven from Fort Lauderdale FL to Richmond VA. • 17.5 hrs (slow due to Florida traffic) • 7 Supercharger stops - total time charging 1hr 53min (avg 16min, longest 23min) • $132.40 in Supercharger fees ($0.14 per mile) • 100% on FSD • WiFi courtesy of Starlink mini Cybertruck is the only vehicle I’d want to try this with. Super easy and comfortable. Kids enjoyed it and were able to watch movies and play computer games against each other thanks to Starlink and the entertainment system.

Been taking Waymos all week. Now in a Lyft. Sitting in the back of a human-driven car is both terrifying and nauseating. There’s no way we’re gonna be allowed to do this much longer.

Important information on FSD competition: The US government built a regulatory wall that will keep Chinese OEMs out of the American ADAS and Full Self-Driving race for the foreseeable future. Under the BIS “Connected Vehicles” rule (effective March 2025, full software prohibitions hit model-year 2027 vehicles), two things happen simultaneously: 1. Any vehicle sold in the US that uses Automated Driving Systems software at SAE Level 3 or higher — exactly where real FSD/ADS competition lives — cannot contain even a single line of code designed, developed, or supplied by anyone subject to PRC jurisdiction. 2. Chinese OEMs themselves (BYD, NIO, XPeng, Li Auto, etc.) are explicitly classified as “persons subject to PRC jurisdiction.” They are flatly prohibited from selling ANY connected passenger vehicle in the United States that includes Vehicle Connectivity Systems hardware or covered ADS software — even if the code and hardware were 100% developed outside China. Translation: XPeng’s XNGP, BYD’s God’s Eye, Li Auto’s AD Max, Huawei’s ADS — the very systems Chinese companies have been iterating fastest and cheapest in their home market — are now legally unexportable to the US in any vehicle they manufacture. There is no “clean room” workaround that lets them compete head-to-head with Tesla FSD on American roads. I personally think that XPeng is the only serious competition to FSD for the mid-term future. There is no Western competition to FSD.

The reason I have more TSLA shares than ever before, and the reason I will stay through all the pain, is because it isn’t the random hype about future products or Elon’s estimated release dates that make me bullish. It’s my first-hand experiences with the product itself that make me lose my mind and want to stay put. The actual product makes me far more bullish than anything else. The best possible signal for a thesis

Tesla just got the first supervised autonomy approval in EU history and the market is treating it like a regional software update. The Netherlands has 17 million people. Irrelevant. What matters is the regulatory architecture Elon just cracked open. Under EU mutual recognition, every member state can now adopt the Dutch certification without running their own review. Germany, France, and Italy could go live by summer. One approval, 450 million people, delivered over the air. Run the math on what Tesla submitted to get here. 1.6 million km driven on EU roads. 4,500 track test scenarios. 400+ compliance requirements. 18 months of documentation and audits. The RDW put FSD through the most rigorous driver assistance evaluation any regulator has ever conducted. Their conclusion: the system makes roads safer than human driving. Now look at the dataset moat. 8.4 billion miles of global FSD training data. One collision every 5.3 million miles with FSD engaged. One every 855,000 miles without it. No other automaker on Earth has a training corpus within an order of magnitude of that number. And every Tesla on the road is widening the gap in real time. Everyone keeps comparing Tesla to car companies. The company that just got an entire continent's regulatory framework to certify its neural network for public roads is not a car company. Elon has been saying autonomy alone is worth more than the rest of the business combined. Today is the first day European regulators started agreeing with him.

De toekomst van mobiliteit is aangebroken FSD Supervised has been approved in the Netherlands 🇳🇱 & will begin rolling out in the country shortly!  Trained on billions of kilometers of real-world driving data, it can drive you almost anywhere under your supervision – from residential roads to city streets & highways No other vehicle can do this.  We're excited to bring FSD Supervised to more European countries soon

FSD makes road tripping way better. Tesla + FSD is way way better for road tripping than any ICE car, not worse. Please understand this.

@nymbusjp Anyone who believes Robotaxi is way delayed is so wrong. It might not scale as quickly as many initially envisioned but it is here already and rolling out to several cities this quarter.

Guys, I went out for a bicycle ride and as I get back I see my feed is full of pussies freaking out because Elon posted that v15 will be the 10x model, not v14.3. Some are implying that this signals that the Cybercab roll out will be delayed. I am not saying that this is wrong but let's look at the facts, please: Fact 1: NHTSA reports show a stellar safety record of Tesla Robotaxis operating in Austin and the bay area. There are only fender benders, all cases that would go unreported if it wasn't a Robotaxi, and their numbers have decreased substantially (just one relevant case at super low speed for the last month if my memory is correct). Fact 2: Cybercab production has started in small numbers and the line seems ready. Tesla would not make this investment if they did not have visibility on a near term roll out. Fact 3: Cybercab was put in display in many US cities for advertisement purposes. Fact 4: The number and availability of unsupervised rides in Austin has increased significantly recently, as well as the number of supervised vehicles in California. Fact 5: Tesla is hiring all over the United States to launch Robotaxi operations. Would they do this if they were failing? Fact 6: v14.3 obviously shows superhuman reaction time. Fact 7: v14.3 does not include the 10x model, it will be v15. With all the above in mind, do you think it is more reasonable to think that we have overwhelmingly positive or negative signals?

Everybody makes fun of Elon for his “timelines”, but my car can drive itself perfectly and there’s no other car I can buy that does anything close. Maybe other automakers should start setting timelines like Elon. They might accidentally get something done.

@wholemars Elon is doing great - he is not great with timelines though.

So far it looks like most of the reactions I’ve seen to V14.3 is that there are minor/undetectable changes, and it also looks like some people are just getting placebo’d and convincing themselves identical behaviors are improved. This isn’t a bad thing considering 14.2 is amazing. Hopefully whatever “final piece of the puzzle” has been implemented under the hood will allow for the greater confidence Tesla needs to be more aggressive with Robotaxi expansion. At this point I don’t care about Optimus, couldn’t give a rats ass about Terafab yet. It’s all eyes on Robotaxi. That’s what I invested for, and it has to be go time now. Need to see Tesla execute against their long-running objective of AV’s before I can get seriously excited about what comes after. Still 0/7 with less than 3 months remaining on this target. Let’s go baby

If Tesla offered this SUV lineup in the US: • Model Y (188" long, two rows) • Model Y L (196" long, three rows) • Cyber SUV (~210" length, same as GMC Yukon, three rows) This would be one hell of an all-electric self-driving capable SUV lineup that would serve the needs of families of pretty much all sizes.
