Some EBT atmosphere for your Wednesday. These turned up while I was looking for something else on an old phone.

Snow outside reflected lots of light in through the roundhouse windows this afternoon.

A couple of weeks ago, three East Broad Top fans visited the Durango & Silverton, in Colorado, for that railroad's winter photo event. We were rewarded with snow, snow, and more snow — the D&S ran plow/flanger trains... facebook.com/ebtrr/posts/10…

August is #AmericanAdventureMonth! Before the summer ends, get out and explore somewhere new! See what is left behind of the @ebtrr, an authentic, steam-powered railroad that opened in 1873. Off Exit #189, the museum is open 1st and 3rd weekends, May through Sept.

This year’s final public tours of the roundhouse and machine shops take place tomorrow, and have been sold out for some time. About 200 friends and fans will have visited on public tours this year — not bad for a railroad that’s closed. Thanks to all for their enthusiasm.

If you’re coming on one of tomorrow’s tours of the roundhouse and shops, the forecast calls for occasional showers and possibly a thunderstorm. Tours will take place in any case, but plan your footwear accordingly.

This weekend brought the EBT’s first events of the new year — a visit Saturday by a group of photographers and then a tour Sunday for folks attending the Heritage Rail Alliance conference in Strasburg. It’s great to see so much enthusiasm for the railroad.

Stopped over at the railroad this afternoon. The light was great.
