@SwindlehurstJ I saw them fly over when I was walking in Coldhams Common. The fighters are F-15s and the bigger plane is a KC-135 Stratotanker, a military aerial refueling tanker aircraft.

@richard5mith I snapped these photos during the day. People were hanging out in them in the evening, some of them drinking beer. I didn't feel like taking pictures of people in the swimming costumes.

There are loads of fountains in Basel. In the summer the residents hang out in the fountains in their swimming costumes.
