hotd / the difference between aegon and aemond for me is that aegon's monstrosities and horrific acts are ugly and rooted in real violence so he's gross and i hate his ass, but aemond's monstrosities and horrific acts are cartoon supervillainy so he's hilarious and i like him

yuri was born by women and for women but it is most of all universal. i don’t think the gender of the reader, or even author to a certain extent, matters.
all genders can enjoy any yuri. framing ecchi yuri as male gaze is often a disrespect to women’s sexuality and women authors

i think women have always liked yuri. the lingering presence of yuri being for the male gaze has blinded ppl from seeing so. as the idea of yuri being male gaze becomes less prevalent ppl are more willing to see women as fans of yuri. many ppl hav assumed im a man bc i like yuri,

essentially all yuri is about queer women. I legitimately can't think of a single one i've read where one of the characters was basically written as a man (except for a couple cases where the character is clearly transmasc). so there's no reason to make the distinction for yuri.
