@SamanthaTaghoy They didn’t say “pay to breathe.” They said companies shouldn’t be allowed to pollute air, water, and soil for free. There’s a difference between monetizing oxygen and making environmental destruction financially accountability.

Ppl who defend how expensive the world is right now by calling others poor are the second most important reason we got here. The first is exploitation by the wealthiest. But this world right now insanely entirely too much for what were getting back.

For a long time, we’ve pictured dinosaurs—especially theropods like Tyrannosaurus rex—as permanently snarling, teeth always exposed. But that image is starting to fall apart. Recent research comparing theropod teeth to modern reptiles shows their enamel doesn’t match crocodilians (which can safely expose their teeth), but instead looks more like animals that need protection. Even more compelling—microscopic wear patterns and the absence of heavy cracking in fossilized teeth suggest they weren’t sitting out in open air full-time. The condition of these fossils points toward a soft tissue covering—lips—helping keep teeth hydrated and intact. There’s also fossil evidence from the skull itself. Many theropods show rows of small foramina—tiny openings in the jawbones—that would have supported blood vessels and nerves for soft tissue structures like lips. You see similar patterns in modern lizards, where those openings correlate directly with lip tissue, not exposed teeth like in crocodiles. Then there’s the skin. Fossilized skin impressions and preserved melanosomes—microscopic pigment structures—have given us direct evidence of dinosaur coloration. In specimens like Sinosauropteryx, scientists have reconstructed banded tails and reddish-brown striping based on these preserved structures. This isn’t guesswork—it’s cellular-level fossil evidence. Melanin doesn’t just create color. In modern animals, it plays a role in UV protection and strengthening tissues. So when we find melanosomes concentrated in certain areas, especially in dinosaurs that lived in open, sun-exposed environments, it suggests their skin wasn’t just patterned—it was functional. Darker pigmentation could have acted as a natural defense against UV radiation, essentially a built-in biological sunscreen. So now the picture shifts in a real, evidence-backed way. Fossils aren’t just giving us bones anymore—they’re giving us skin, structure, and even hints of behavior. And what they’re showing is an animal with protected teeth, soft tissue around the mouth, and skin adapted at a microscopic level to its environment. Less of the exaggerated, lipless monster baked under the sun—and more of a highly adapted organism, built to survive its world with precision. #parmasdailydinofact #dinosaurs
