@Nauman950401 These are core Epic functionality that's implemented as an extension to make updating easier. They're all protections every user in Epic expects.

@epicbrowser According to you these are hidden extensions. Why these expectations get installed without user consent.

@epicbrowser Whenever Epic browser is launched some unknown extensions get installed (Marked in Red) in attached Screenshot. Every time these have to be removed. There are no malware or viruses on my computer.

@epicbrowser hi just cama across to this app. Started using it on iPad. Cool app. Pics long press its downloads to gallery. Must have options to save within the app. Video doesn’t download it’s drawback. Browsing history tab not available to revisit.

@shingaisc1 We were forced to discontinue the VPN service due to its massive expense so it no longer works. There are several free, fast VPN extensions for desktop Epic in the Chrome Webstore you can use though.

@ApegoOfficial It's installed in a folder in Windows in %localappdata% by the way. You can find the Epic folder there and the exe inside it.

@franclwjm @Jespefe @randomjeeth007 Hope Epic's working fine for you all. We have a new update we're working on that we think fixed the shutting down issue on some systems. If you're still facing it, let us know & we can get you a build to try immediately.

@Jespefe @epicbrowser @randomjeeth007 Yeah, had that happen on Windows 10 too it opens, then just shuts down right away. I switched to a cleaner setup with my own VPN, and it's been way more stable since. Let me know if you wanna try it out.

I cannot emphasize enough, if you are asked to provide ID to view a website, or to have your face scanned, DO NOT COMPLY. Do not provide your personal data. It will 100% be leaked, sooner or later. Get @opera or one of the VPNs below. Then browse safely and privately.

@Jespefe @randomjeeth007 Great! Yes, some VPNs may intentionally allow some sites to bypass but I think that's not the case for the ones we listed...but some other VPN extensions we had seen won't support streaming sites for example.

@epicbrowser @randomjeeth007 Hello, uninstalled, installed and it works. VPN issue: some don't allow pages that I could see before, but I'll keep trying. Thank you very much.

@Avast @AVGSupport Please fix your latest updates. You're mis-identifying Epic as malware with a Trojan. Please be sure to continue to white-list Epic as you have done for years. Thank you.

@BannaRishi1997 There should be a search bar -- Epic is built on Chromium like both those browsers so it should be quite similar. Please close any messages you may see and see if it becomes clearer how to use Epic.

@epicbrowser I want to suggest you make this browser easy to use like Google and Microsoft Edge when i open this browser i have no idea how to use because there was no search bar like google and there was not any login and sign up box so i feel very uncomfortable .

@lukejmorrison @M_Solidus Sorry hidden reflex's site accidentally was deleted - will be re-created soon. We've had no privacy breaches or issues for 10+ years. Our privacy policy is always accessible via epic browser's site & is transparent. Code is modified Chromium & files are auditable as Grok says.

Private Desktop Browsers 101 → Brave → Mullvad Browser → Librewolf You're one quick installation from browsing privately. Stop using Chrome or poorly hardened Firefox.

@w_anglican Hmmm. Also, usually this happens because the ARM version is installed on an Intel-architecture Mac or vice versa. Please check your system architecture / the Epic version --- and maybe try installing again?! This is the most common issue.

@epicbrowser So my Epic Browser refused to launch in my Macbook. I've deleted it redownloaded it. rebooted a bunch of times. What happened? I LOVE this browsers and was happy I could use it on my Mac!

Easily a dozen now-ubiquitous, browser privacy features were first implemented by Epic's team. We've operated over 10 years w/ no breaches or issues. We should publish more docs
