@mygulstad It means the binary for this specific beta version is only temporary. The next preview binary will overwrite it as it’s published at the same place. Be assured EPUBCheck will most definitely keep being open source and freely available! #epub #eprdctn

About EPUB 5 Beta "This EPUBCheck version is not available in the Maven Central Repository. It is only available (temporarily) as a binary on the GitHub release page" What does that mean -temporarily? Will EPUBCheck stop being open source? #epub #eprdctn

You only need to update if your were impacted by these issues! (we always recommend to keep updated, but understand it has an overhead cost 😊) Reverting these checks is a proactive adoption of the relaxed rules of EPUB 3.3 😎

I get this error message a lot while visiting the new EPUBCheck website in Google Chrome. I use the top bar menu to 'About', 'Docs', 'Support', only 'Github' works. Why is that? or is it my browser? or... ?😇 @epubcheck

@mygulstad We'll try to update it in September. The service is unfortunately not actively maintained and funded, so it's often put off for other priorities 🙁 (that's why it's often lagging behind the latest version!)
