Project Hail Mary is one of my all-time fav novels. Haven't seen the movie yet (trying!), but have to mention how upset I am that the trailers/marketing spoil one of the best reveals in the whole story. Everyone who's read knows what I'm talking about, and there's almost a sacred understanding not to spoil the big reveal when you share the book with others. (Other than that, can't wait 🙃)

@WizLikeWizard Hype for sure. There are real use cases, but the job then becomes making sure OpenClaw doesn’t implode, haha. Trading one task for another!

Have been using OpenClaw for ~a month and it kinda sucks? I spend more time battling it to get basic crons fired reliably, remember things, and not repeat itself. Am I doing it wrong or are we just still very early on all of this?

New Test Track in EPCOT is a great example. Ride is fine, but basically just fancy wallpaper for the line, and then literal trash in displays (recycling) for almost an entire room. Who greenlit that?!

Theme parking it in Orlando this week. First time mixing in Universal with the kids. Massive Disney fans, but the degree to which Universal is stomping Disney in theming (at least with the new stuff) is something to be studied.

My social feeds were a disaster this weekend. People panicking. Leaders sounding lost. Accounts that barely post were suddenly in full meltdown mode. But it wasn't about war, politics, or the economy. It was about a chatbot going down. 🧵

Been a particularly stressful season the past few months. A few weeks ago decided I would stop and pray about stuff in the moment instead of letting my brain run through panicked loops trying to solve things. God’s in control, I am not, and that’s been a really helpful practice.

In 9th grade I copied paragraphs from Encarta (throwback!) for a Social Studies paper. Ten minutes of work. Biggest font possible. My teacher wasn't impressed. She wasn't looking for copy-and-paste. She wanted to know what I had to say. It's exactly like AI today. Almost everyone flunks the assignment.

I only turn on cable news during big world events like today. Two observations: 1) X (Twitter) really is 8-12 hours ahead of the news. Not just rumors - the confirmed stuff. 2) Holy cow these ads are all scams and slop. Somehow WORSE than the internet. How is that possible?!

Honest question: With the state of AI video, how does anyone trust or verify war-related “proof of life” videos and speeches? One side claims a takedown; the other side claims they’re fine. It’s a weird time to not be able to trust your eyeballs.
