@dmasher Hey there, @Dmasher! A separated knob isn’t the standard we hold ourselves to. While components can experience wear over time, less than a year isn’t what we aim for with a P7. Please send us a DM with your information we’d like to review this further.

@espro My P7 knob from the french press lid separated from the rod, less than a year from when it was given to me. I contacted customer service, who chalked it up to "wear and tear." Kind of shoddy for a premium-priced product.

@Mmajor7th Totally fair point! The new handle does shift the stress points, but the weld’s designed to handle a full brew without compromising the seal. Glad it’s holding up where it matters; after all, a bloody good cuppa is the whole point at £90 ☕️.

@1953FlyingScot @espro Hopefully it's not an inherent weakness. They changed the handle with this model, and the weld keeps the seal on the double walled body. The bottom weld in the handle will be in tension when it's full. Bloody good cuppa from it but at £90, I wasn't expecting anything less.

@espro P7 press is two weeks old. Double wall now leaking at lower weld on handle. Disappointed! QC matter or design flaw?
