A good outcome - agreement on a more flexible approach to support European workers at risk of unemployment. Both @Europarl_EN and the @EUCouncil have agreed to amend the EGF Regulation. 📍What does this mean in practice? Workers will no longer need to wait until they lose their jobs to receive support in finding new employment. Measures such as career counselling, guidance, and training will be offered in advance to help them secure new opportunities. This means that the EGF will finance measures for workers at risk of unemployment to: 👉 Support their job search 👉 Provide mentoring and coaching 👉 Offer career counselling and training
