I wrote a UI library in C that can lay out 95000 items at 60fps.
The library is 566 lines of C, and the application-specific ui code is 998 lines. Works on mac, windows, and linux.
The networks are dead. The towers went dark. What was once the hottest financial district in the world is now a maze of diesel fumes and flickering streetlights. A colony simulator where you build a crew, take dirty jobs, and try not to get ground into the pavement.
I keep having my phone die on me when I'm testing games on mobile. It slowly starts throttling, I'm like damn I have to do an optimization pass again, and it just dies. I wake up. #gamedev
#gamedev#minecraft#runescape WATER! ...and I changed how the atlas works, now you have a pregenerated map, which is more traditional. I think it works better and is a bit clearer. I playtested the game two days ago and people kind of fumbled with the old system. Too novel?
