We’re pleased to be featured in @beforesmag Issue #46 - Predator: Badlands! Perception contributed over 100 VFX shots to the film, crafting immersive, particle-driven Predator technology and clean, utilitarian Weyland-Yutani interfaces. Predator graphics were designed to feel organic and constantly evolving, with shifting particles forming planets, creatures, and information—giving the holograms a sense of life and alien sophistication. In contrast, Weyland-Yutani graphics were clear and efficient in their delivery, with occasional glitches reflecting corrupted data, creating a striking visual clash between the two technology systems. Our work spans key sequences, from holographic spaceship displays to lab interfaces, creating dynamic visuals that enhance the storytelling and bring the film’s advanced technology to life. Detroit’s own crime-fighter has officially taken his place in the Motor City. After nearly 15 years of effort and fan support, an 11-foot, 3,500-pound bronze RoboCop statue now stands in Eastern Market — a tribute to one of cinema’s most enduring characters. Stories like this, where imagination and cultural legacy meet, always resonate with us. Our team had the opportunity to design the futuristic tech and in-film interfaces for the RoboCop reboot, helping visualize Detroit 2028 with HUDs, large-screen graphics, and broadcast elements. We’re thrilled and deeply honored that our work on the prologue sequence for Sinners will soon be on display at the National Underground Railroad Freedom Center. The sequence demanded an intimate, handcrafted approach—reflecting the gritty 1930s world of the film. Drawing on extensive historical and cultural research, we collaborated with linocut illustrator Mike Black (Blockforest) to explore real textures and materials, which we then translated into a fully digital sequence that captures the tactile, grounded feel of the world of Sinners. #Sinners @iamRuthECarter @FreedomCenter

In Black Panther and Wakanda Forever, she reimagined African heritage through a futuristic lens, creating costumes that became symbols of pride, resilience, and possibility. Her devotion to retraining the eye to see beauty through costume design and telling stories that enrich the humanity of the Black experience cements her legacy as a preeminent voice and expert on period genres and Afro aesthetics.
