@AaronLemingNFL Fox was never Pace’s choice. The Bears were a disaster after the Trestman/Emery regime. When Fox became available Accorsi pushed the McCaskey’s hard to hire him even though they had just brought Pace in and he hadn’t had time to pick his own HC.

I should also add that I think folks are way too quick to pawn off all of the #Bears bad play/development on a guy like Matt Nagy, while failing to acknowledge Pace has failed with both of his two HC hirings.
Everything circles back to the guy making these decisions.

Those three reasons for blaming Ryan Pace are enough to get a lot of GMs fired.
I also don’t understand the “he’s built a good roster”‘sentiment when the #Bears came into 2021 w/ the 2nd oldest roster in the league & this team has bled young talent for 3 years now.

you can blame ryan pace for a lot of things: • hiring matt nagy • bad cap management • some glaring misses in the draft but overall, he’s constructed a very solid roster and i will argue anyone on that. He just missed on the HC. perennial playoff team with a good HC imo.
