@loserhands_ Feel like some ppl just prioritize diff things lol. For me, I never applied to BL jobs bc I just didn’t want that kind of stress in my life. Big on down time, rest, etc. also bc I love to travel another thing I prioritized was leaving firm life altogether & going remote/in-house

Not to sound pretentious, but some people absolutely act like they’re above big law as a way to cope for not getting a chance to do it. this is also my personal observation.
You and I both agree going to law school to chase BL money is absolutely crazy

I don’t know if that’s the argument. It’s not law grads saying they’re above BL it’s experienced attorneys saying dont go to law school expecting to graduate and go into BL or don’t go to law school because you think it’s an easy path to a $250k starting salary. The percentage of grads who get BL jobs is very small & expectations should be set accordingly. But I agree if you can get into BL for even a couple of years you should do it. Not bc of the money—bc it’s a valuable legal training you can’t get anywhere else.
