Amrish Puri had worked earlier with Rakesh Roshan in 🎞Kishen Kanhaiya and 🎞Khel. In 🎞Karan Arjun, however as Durjan Singh he was at his villanous best. The use of close-ups to highlight his big eyes was skilful. The deep baritone meant that the line of the film belonged to Amrish Puri (just before the climax) - Aisi maut maarunga, ke Bhagwan ye punar janam wala system hi khatam kar dega !

Arguably Rakesh Roshan’s best work. One nicely done scene is where Vijay bumps into Durjan’s car and as light flashes on his face, he hides it with his hands. Then Ajay seated in the police jeep fades away into the background as Durjan arrives. Spoke about it in this episode.
