This doesn’t come as a surprise to me, and I think a lot of us sensed it for a while. It also explains why player feedback gets ignored unless it already aligns with their vision. There will probably be more LIs coming (the uncles already have at least 3 more names), cycled through like fast fashion — shiny and new just long enough to trigger a spend, then on to the next. The new model is becoming clear: rotating gacha bait, not character investment. New faces to monetise, not stories to tell.
