Also, let villains be villains. They’re supposed to be BAD, MEAN, and unlikeable! That’s literally the point. But sometimes people take it too personally, even when it’s clearly just in character writing and not a reflection of the writer.

Instead of calling out writers for exploring those ideas, we should focus on addressing genuinely harmful behavior. Let people tell their stories, and let everyone curate their own space.

And honestly, if you come across something that makes you uncomfortable or triggers you, it’s perfectly fine to just block / sb and move on. Not everything needs to turn into a callout, especially when it could’ve been handled privately through DMs in the first place.

At the same time, it’s important to read people’s pinned posts and content warnings before following. It avoids a lot of unnecessary complaints later on. Dark themes are just a part of story telling and can reflect real-life struggles in a narrative way.

I get that some people use RP as an escape and most likely don’t have the energy for long replies, so they stick to one liner crack RP and that’s completely valid. But not everyone enjoys that style all the time, and it can get frustrating when it’s all you see on the TL.

⠀JUSTICE⠀.ᐟ I feel like the RP community’s gotten a bit too sensitive lately. People are getting called out not for being harmful, but just for including darker themes in their writing and that’s honestly discouraging for those who want to tell actual stories.
