My reason for not sacking Liam Rosenior right now is simple: It would reset everything for the decision-makers at the club, especially the SDs, who have spent OVER A BILLION and still haven't managed to balance the squad in 3 years. Unless they are held accountable, nothing changes. The Maresca issue is a bit iffy, and his resignation/parting ways was bound to happen sooner rather than later. I have a piece ready on it, but do not want to publish it right now. Anyway, back to the main point - sacking Rosenior gives the decision-makers more time and they do not deserve it one bit.

🚨 Trevoh Chalobah AND Filip Jorgensen out for weeks. Jorgensen has undergone a minor operation, while Chalobah out fir at least six weeks with ankle issue.

Chelsea fans, It's never as good as we think, but it’s never as bad as it feels. A few smart tweaks can change a lot. 7 months ago, people were saying 2 proper signings away from competing for a league. Top 5 & Next window are critical

I don't want to make excuses for Rosenior cos it is his tweaks that have caused issues in the recent matches. His start was decent - except the Arsenal games - but since then, he has tried to do too many things and way too quickly. What a large section of Chelsea fans do not realize is that Maresca's 'boring football' was key to their controlling the game. They wanted him sacked for a more attacking coach, and now there is no control cos players are thinking about their attacking roles, while failing to drop back in time.

FT: Chelsea 0-3 PSG. (2-8 agg) Lost the tie after that Jorgensen mistake and the second leg was a mere formality after the early goals.

@gamernatguy Need to watch the replay. I was reading the AFCON ruling after the game was paused.

Trevoh Chalobah needs a stretcher to leave the pitch. Looks like a bad injury for the Chelsea man.

Rosenior is switching Caicedo to RB, Josh-Tosin as CBs and Hato as LB after Chalobah's injury.

@GunnerGunnerSim @TikiTakaConnor It was bound to happen at some point for every top club. I feared it would happen vs Bayern for Chelsea when they lost 7-1 iirc

PSG lose the ball and EVERYONE drops to defend. Chelsea lose the ball and 2-3 players jog back as if they are stuck in first gear.

3-0 PSG. Mayulu scores. PSG attack for the first time in the second half, and it's 8-2 on agg.

@FotoNepal Nah, Sarr started as the RB for some reason. Chalobah was the CCB when Chelsea had possesion in the first few mins.

@falsewinger Chalobah started at RB at first. Moved to CB after that first goal. Manager is just not at this level. We can kiss CL football goodbye for few seasons now.

My issue with Rosenior today: > Josh or Caicedo should have started as the RB, not Sarr. Even Chalobah would have been a better option. > Joao Pedro is playing as a False9 rather than a ST today, with Enzo rotating with him Both decisions were terrible.

Only thing more irritating than this Chelsea performance is that PSG fan who is constantly whistling.
