@nicksortor Cooperating regarding world health & handing over health decisions & authority are two different things. Not being in the WHO doesn't mean the U.S. and Argentina will never be in agreement w/WHO, it just means WHO can't tell the U.S. or Argentina what it MUST do.

@macroanalytica @Acyn Vietnam is a poor country. They have FAR less money than the US , so they buy less. How can that incredibly simple truth be so hard for you to understand? Poor people buy less than rich people, it’s that simple.

Navarro: They’re coming now and saying we want to talk, we’ll lower our tariffs to zero. That’s not the problem. Vietnam is a great example, Laura. They sell us $15 for every one we sell them. Zero tariffs would get us no reduction in the $123 billion deficit we have.

@Priscilla313701 @annmarie There are already plenty of American companies and investment in Ukrain. That never stopped Poutin. Pretending the opposite like Trump does is at best wishful thinking. You don’t give up half your natural resources just to see how things go.

@Priscilla313701 @annmarie You are missing the point. Deal on minerals without security guarantees for Ukraine is a complete rip off and Zelensky was never going to accept it. Trump lying about it since the start of the meeting is what makes Z increasingly frustrated.

I feel bad for her and the Ukrainian people. His security guarantee was the minerals, US interest in Ukraine means Russia will back off. I think there was a language barrier as well- this may have help set the argument off. But Zelensky was frustrated throughout, I hot the feeling he wanted ti run the show.

According to Grok 3 Beta : Accurate estimate of U.S. aid to Ukraine over the last four years (February 2021 to February 2025), focussed on the period from February 2021 to the present, February 19, 2025, based on available data and trends. This timeframe covers the Biden administration’s tenure, which began in January 2021, and includes the significant escalation of aid following Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine in February 2022. Total U.S. Aid to Ukraine (February 2021 – February 2025) As of the latest comprehensive reports, the U.S. has committed substantial aid to Ukraine, particularly since the onset of the 2022 invasion. Here’s a breakdown based on available data up to late 2024, with an extrapolation to account for early 2025: 1Pre-Invasion Aid (February 2021 – January 2022)
Before Russia’s full-scale invasion, U.S. aid to Ukraine averaged around $1.5 billion annually, primarily through foreign assistance programs like Foreign Military Financing (FMF) and development aid via USAID. For the 12 months from February 2021 to January 2022, this amounts to approximately $1.5 billion. 2Post-Invasion Aid (February 2022 – December 2024)
Since Russia’s invasion on February 24, 2022, U.S. aid has surged. Congress has approved multiple supplemental funding packages: ◦2022: Approximately $113 billion was appropriated across four acts (e.g., Ukraine Supplemental Appropriations Acts of 2022), covering military, economic, and humanitarian aid. ◦2024: An additional $61 billion was approved in April 2024 under the Ukraine Security Supplemental Appropriations Act, bringing the total congressional authorization to $174 billion by mid-2024. ◦Late 2024 Surge: In December 2024, the Biden administration announced a further $6 billion package, including $2.5 billion in security assistance and $3.4 billion in budget support, exhausting remaining appropriated funds. 3By December 31, 2024, the total committed aid is widely reported at around $183 billion, with roughly $88 billion disbursed (per Statista and Kiel Institute data up to August 2024) and additional allocations pledged through year-end. 4Early 2025 Estimate (January – February 19, 2025)
With the Biden administration’s term ending January 20, 2025, and a stated commitment to “surge” aid in its final months, additional packages were likely delivered. Historically, aid has averaged $5.4 billion per month during peak periods (e.g., 2023). Assuming a reduced pace post-election but continued drawdowns from existing authority, an estimated $5-10 billion could have been committed in January 2025, with disbursements ongoing into February. Cumulative Estimate •February 2021 – January 2022: $1.5 billion •February 2022 – December 2024: $183 billion •January – February 19, 2025: $5-10 billion (conservative estimate) •Total: Approximately $190-193 billion in committed aid over the four-year period. Breakdown by Type •Military Aid: Roughly 60-67% of the total (around $114-129 billion), including weapons, equipment, and training via Presidential authority and the Ukraine Security Assistance Initiative (USAI). •Financial/Economic Aid: About 30-33% (around $57-64 billion), including direct budget support through USAID. •Humanitarian Aid: Around 7% (approximately $13-14 billion), aiding refugees and civilians. Notes •Committed vs. Disbursed: Not all committed funds have been spent by February 2025. As of late 2023, only about $67.5 billion of the initial $113 billion was disbursed, suggesting a similar lag for later packages. Total disbursements by now might approach $100-120 billion. •Data Gaps: Exact figures for January-February 2025 are speculative without real-time updates beyond December 2024 announcements. The estimate assumes continuity of prior trends. Conclusion:The U.S. has likely provided $190-193 billion in total aid to Ukraine from February 2021 to February 19, 2025.

Zelensky pushes back on Trump with facts, not rhetoric. Zelensky: The U.S. has provided Ukraine with $67 billion in military aid and $31 billion in budget support. Trump’s $500 billion fossil fuel claim isn’t a serious conversation. 1/

@AndrewBrownhil @RassieRugby Do you not understand what "fully bound" means in the lawbook? In your own clip, that you just posted, you can see 16 blue is not fully bound BEFORE Eben even comes around - therefore obstruction, therefore SA penalty. It's the most basic thing to ref in a maul.

Deon copping a lot of flack for this yellow card, to be honest I also thought the Blue 16 detached and maul over, we just have to work harder and make sure we understand the rules correctly! Very costly 🟨 ! We deserve all the criticism!! Sorry 🇿🇦 💔

@RassieRugby What about the binding of the last Bok joining the ruck? Any comment on that? Last time I checked, "hands on my mate's shoulder" never counted as proper binding (unless you are Richie McCaw in the 2011 final, but that's another story)

This so clever by Fickou, the way he moves and presents himself on our side of the ruck has no influence on our speed of the ball from the ruck !! We can certainly learn from this !! Sorry 🇿🇦💔
