Please refrain from falling for professionals claiming they understand the HCU due to the August Core Update. This happened eleven months ago, and it's happening again now. It's marketing for them. They want your money. Eleven months passed, and there was no clear data correlation. There still isn't now. A few months after the HCU, SEO influencers had little to say because they knew they had nothing to say. Some agencies silently stopped offering HCU audits in 2024. It's important to remember that just because sites are recovering, it doesn't necessarily mean these individuals understand the reasons. They often fail to discuss the clients who have not recovered using similar methods. This lack of transparency should raise questions. I also keep seeing the claim that web publishers who did the work are seeing recoveries. No, not true. We did, and so did many others, and it has worsened for a large majority. In fact, following an "audit," we made 12 significant changes (which I'll reveal in the article I'm still writing), and we still routinely review the archive today. We also apply suggestions from trusted SEOs with whom we've created a rapport. I talk a lot about SEOs, but the ones I talk to in private conversations care about the state of search and small businesses. You have to parse between the Google Loyalists and the good ones. At this point, we continue to work on the website to disprove the audit we received and to try out new things. Our website is merely a science experiment at this point to collect data. We improve it in iterations so we can tell a story about what has happened. As I've said previously, now there's a minor group of recoveries; the third-party collaborators and enablers of Google's abusive algorithms are finally armored with propaganda on behalf of the multi-trillion-dollar company. The graphs shared mean little in regard to the HCU. Do not fall for it.
