A few years ago, my husband — a cycling enthusiast — invested almost $300 in a “built to last” balance bike from @LittleBigBikes for our kids, specifically because parts could be replaced over time. Today, as our youngest needs new pedals and brakes, the company refuses to ship to Israel. Not to a government — to customers. Companies are, of course, free to take political positions. But refusing to serve individuals based solely on where they live is not a “peace stance.” It’s collective exclusion and discrimination. People who oppose boycotts should know where this company stand.

@724_R_ @NewstalkFM Of course the biggest problem with the whole area is the marketing and non tagging of adverts around gambling by influencer and pr people. Kenny Everett had it right. Round them up, put them in a field......😅

You couldn't make it up. After McConville tells his story Claire Byrne goes on to promote @NewstalkFM 'Cash Machine' Endless plugging of a competition where you ''text PLAY to 57557. It costs €2.50 to enter'' the absolute irony lost on the @NewstalkFM social team.

'When I was gambling, I wasn't a very nice person to be around.' Former Armagh Footballer Oisín McConville speaks with Claire Byrne about how gambling ads target young people, and how he has dealt with his own gambling addiction.

@RacingPost Absolute drivel. The GCs KYC & restrictions have punters now expected to part with financial information that a bank might expect for a house purchase. Is it an wonder that punters end up with Curacao toilet paper licensed outfits. The problem is they will never admit faulure

🗣️ Chief Executive of the Betting and Gaming Council, Grainne Hurst "Around 22.5 million adults in Britain enjoy a bet each month, the overwhelming majority doing so safely with regulated operators, but the black market offers none of the protections or safeguards found in the regulated sector. These illegal sites don’t promote safer gambling and don’t contribute a penny to sport or to the Treasury That’s why it’s vital the government works with industry and tech companies to drive out the black market and protect players”

@lynchjordan12 GC have created this. The opposite effect of what they were trying to solve. Ridiculous implementations have forced punters into the wild west of Curacao licensed casinos/sportsbooks, that can fcuk people off very easily with no oversight or basic problem controls.

There is a very clear indicator as to the growth of the Illegal Gambling market in the UK. For those in the know, there are 3 major providers of Black Market gambling globally. Until now, they have kept out of the UK market by choice. We are now finding them routinely targetting the UK, as our next report will highlight. racingpost.com/news/britain/b…

@RacingPost A black market created by an over enthusiastic regulator. You'd go through less financial checks buying a house than you would opening a UK betting account. What next, showing estate agents your financial books before you can buy a house? Tackle the problem, don't create more

"High-profile influencers directed followers to black market sites offering no player protection, age or identity verification, and also pushed customers towards using cryptocurrencies to make deposits for additional layers of anonymity In the build-up to last month’s Cheltenham Festival, Wood signed up to multiple illegal sites via social media including under the names of Harry Skelton, Jack Kennedy and Willie Mullins, whose address he listed as ‘Cheltenham racecourse’, and bet in races against the runners representing the real-life professionals"

@ImundoEl @izita_monstar Whether you agree with individuals right to self promote & the manner in which they do it, the problems are twofold. The advertisement link of social media influence needs to be upfront and tagged. After that it is a matter of opinion without getting yourself into defamation.

@andrew1logue @JoeSeward1 @EdFreeman9 @RTE_PrimeTime @RuthCoppingerSP It provides employment. There's a thoroughbred industry involved both here and in exporting dogs abroad. The unscrupulous people that wholesale breeding can attract is problematic & that needs to be tackled. Total ban approach as an alternative might create breed extinction.

@EdFreeman9 @JoeSeward1 @RTE_PrimeTime @RuthCoppingerSP Greyhound racing is not dying in Ireland. The greyhound industry is intrinsically like to the horse thoroughbred industry through funding. It provides employment. There are meetings that are run entirely for betting purposes but this graded structure also supports dog survival.

@MrKenRudulphTV Here in Ireland we have had "bridle horse" with a high cruising speed that can make jockeys look like idiots (look up the mighty Harchibald on YT). We've horses that refuse to race or scoot up. Total Enigmas. However the motionless jockey on this tricky filly amplified matters.

The jockey explains his ride. The agent explained the ride. The trainer explained the horses idiosyncrasies. The video supports his explanation and still we have folks who outright refuse to let it go. Now…do you see why mainstream media and the general public want absolutely nothing to with the people in this sport? Now you know. Thank God I got paid because my job for 17 years was to sell this to the public. Impossible. 😳

If the likes of Barney Curley or Tony Martin ran a series of horses down the park for several heats, and then produced them to land gambles, they would have been pulled in by the British horseracing authority fairly quick But let Sir Mark Prescott, or Dan Skelton do the same? And it's openly condoned That's how racing turns. On a class based system

@declanmeagher76 Well if you are a professional gambler you will know that strokes are the elite end of the betting world. To line up 4 or 5 on one day is just that. Horses are stopped all the time in a variety of ways. Wrong direction distance, ground, fitness, soundness etc.Owners pay bills

Tankers carrying diesel to Europe have changed course. Several tankers carrying diesel from the US to Europe have changed course mid-Atlantic. The Aliai, Minerva Vaso and Grand Ace6 all loaded in the US and were initially bound for Europe, with destinations including Amsterdam and Gibraltar. Their routes have since shifted. The Grand Ace6 is now signaling Lomé in Togo, while the Minerva Vaso is listed “for orders,” indicating no fixed destination as traders wait for better pricing. The Aliai has also diverted southeast, away from its original European route. The Atlantic is now a “floating market. Europe diesel shortages will cause collapse of industry.

Looking at the profiles of the three horses that landed the gamble, they were anything but obvious to say the least 😂 🐴 Coumeenoole – 0 from 12 before today, opening UK mark of 119 and dropped 11lbs in 4 runs over two months. 🐴 Palamon – 2 from 32, opening UK mark of 126 and dropped 15lbs in 4 runs in two months. 🐴 Tyson – 0 from 13, opening UK mark of 102 and dropped 9lbs in 4 runs in two months.

📈 Gamble landed for The Blind Squirrels trio after been picked up from Paul Nolan in January and moved across the water to Dan Skelton: 🐴 Coumeenoole – 10/3 ➡️ 9/4 🐴 Palamon – 9/4 ➡️ 11/10 🐴 Tyson – 3/1 ➡️ 10/11 💰 That treble was 55/1 at first show…
