@freglin Hiya. Most of the road is closed to taxis. There is a taxi rank in the middle though. For Slug & Lettuce, drop off would probably be there or south end of St. Mary Street which is open to taxis. Either way, there’ll be a short walk to the venue. Xx

Anyone know if #cardiff st Mary’s street is open for taxis to drive down? Years since I’ve been to Cardiff and got a party at slug and lettuce tomorrow and unsure where we can get dropped off from the taxi 💜 thanks in advance

@WillsWiserSistr The soldiers who were stuck, were probably stuck in the goop when it solidified, so were unable to escape so left there to die/rot. N&J were able to stay out of the big puddle by staying on the table top, so when the matter stabilises and goes solid- they weren’t stuck :)

@WillsWiserSistr The exotic matter destabilises the organic matter all around them when it’s disturbed (shot at) and the walls etc start melting, it’s as if the entire fabric of reality starts warping, so it all starts melting. It’s not because it’s hot, because N & J didn’t burn.

@ManaImagine @Channel4News Maybe he’s got a limited capacity for work or something then, because they’re usually pretty strict and give out sanctions if you’ve even had to leave a job/refuse a job because the commute was too long or something. Either that or he’s mates with the work coach haha 😂

@freglin @Channel4News Same in Australia, but I know someone who's in their 40's and turns down jobs all the time, and when they do get a job they last a day and quit, but they don't cut him off the dole, it has to be all talk/threats or else there'd be a lot more homeless people on the streets!

Unemployment in the UK has risen to 5.1 per cent, its highest level in almost five years, and younger workers have been hit particularly hard. @ManaImagine @Channel4News If you don’t get a job but you’re still applying for work as agreed by the work coach, and going to all your appointments, the benefit shouldn’t get cut. I think you only get sanctioned if you turn down a job offer or miss appointments at the job centre etc

The real disgrace in UK's welfare bill is that so much of it is spent on people in work. We are subsidising jobs that do not pay enough to live on. If we genuinely made sure work paid a decent living, then we would not have such a high bill.

@trevgoes4th @anon_opin Some people do work full time and still are eligible for benefits because the wage is so low compared to their rent or something. This week is directly addressing the fact that wages for even some full time jobs still leave people struggling.
