@dezren39 @dr_healsgood @HoshizoraOW My buddy got me to play the new Marvel Rivals game, and I was kind of upset by how much fun I had playing it. It plays a lot like Overwatch, and the 3rd person view gives it a Smite feel that works well.

In 2010, I was at some shit-ass pub here in the sticks when I wrote on a napkin what I wanted to see happen in the upper Midwest. Rather than bitch, I decided to create. THAT Conference was born, and in 2012, I walked into our first event, 20k upside down, scared shitless. We survived, and I was ready to do another, but it felt too audacious even to be remotely realistic. Year 3 came, and we signed multi-year contracts. Once again, scared out of my mind, I never thought in my wildest dreams we would survive to year 5. Year 5 came, and I was ready to throw in the towel and shut it down. The finances didn't work, and everyone was burned out. During that event, someone told me that if I shut it down, they would lose half of the revenue they generated for the year just by being at THAT Conference. It was then that if we went away, we'd end up doing more damage than good. What we were doing was a good thing for the system, but I didn't see it. We needed to really make it work for all parties involved. So we refactored and spent the next 5 years really working on all aspects of what we call THAT. Mostly, it was things people didn't see. Progress was slow, but it was working. Then, a global pandemic entered our history books. It reset everything in ways most couldn't imagine. We started laying the groundwork for another audacious set of goals. ...and on the dawn of another event, 14 years, 15 events later, I find myself, once again, upside down, burnt out, and wondering what our future holds. I'm reminded that our progression is never just up and to the right. Things ebb and flow; you fail in some parts to grow in others. When things get hard, it means there is room for improvement. And then I remind myself why I started all of this and that if I looked at things rationally, it would have never succeeded.

@_pronto_ Oh ok. so that is like a device that has its own HTTP server on your network that you can download the jpg from? That doesn't quite work for my purposes. But I'd be interested to see what youre using for jpg > ascii. I tried a couple different methods for rendering that.
