There’s been several events down here, I get asked my background, I say AA and get the wildest expressions lol bc there is a real history of tension b/w AA & Haitians in S. FL but FBA love to pour salt on a wound. You want to call ppl from the 1st BLACK Republic not BLACK and think you dont sound ridiculous? Just stop. For all his faults, I do appreciate Jesse Jackson for solidarity with Haiti, especially bc that is the type of internationalism I seek to embody in my own work.
