@PeterRHann1 Daggerfall was great. You could stay in a store until it closed, then take everything in there and load it into your cart, then sell it back on the morning. I was never able to finish it. I restarted multiple times and hit the same breaking bug that prevented progress.

According to the official FAQ, Halo: Campaign Evolved on PS5 will require both players in split-screen co-op to have their own PlayStation Network accounts, active PlayStation Plus subscriptions, and linked Microsoft accounts. Normally local split-screen games normally don’t require PlayStation Plus. The FAQ also states that Xbox players only need separate Microsoft accounts for split-screen. If these requirements are accurate, PS5 players will need two PlayStation Plus subscriptions just to play couch co-op, in addition to two Microsoft accounts.

According to former Obsidian co-founder Chris Avellone, a sequel to Avowed is already in early development. Avellone says veteran RPG designer George Ziets is leading the project. Ziets previously worked on games like Neverwinter Nights 2: Mask of the Betrayer and Pillars of Eternity. He also claims Josh Sawyer is involved in a similar way to the first game, while Carrie Patel is not directing the sequel.

Bungie’s attempt to attract more players to Marathon with Season 2 and a free week has not worked, according to a Forbes report. The update added new content and let everyone play for free for more than a week. While player numbers rose briefly, they quickly dropped again. The game’s future seems dark. I don’t think it will survive much longer jf they dont make it free to play

Ninja Theory is the latest studio to get the dreaded “Xbox” call. They, along with Compulsion, are being given a narrow window of time to find buyers or new investors. In today’s market, that is going to be almost impossible. All the Asian funding for games has dried up, because they figured out they could make their own games and do it better. And Asian money was the biggest investment vehicle in games.

Former Bungie community manager Liana Ruppert discussed criticism of Marathon and comparisons to Destiny 2. She said supporting Marathon is “the only path forward right now” for fans wanting future projects, including a possible Destiny 3. She said people are “comparing apples to oranges” when using Destiny 2’s player numbers to judge Marathon, as it is an extraction shooter for a smaller audience, similar to Escape from Tarkov. Destiny players are mad and said they don't want to buy or play a game just to support Bungie.

@Grummz The fact that Bungie is doubling down on a failed game instead of finishing the next expansion on their more successful game tells you all you need to know.

You have to vote with your wallet. It's the only way that works. Don't play a game if you don't enjoy it because they won't suddenly turn around and make the game you want with the money. You'll just get more of the game you don't like. Quite simply, money is an information system. Put money where you want to see more of things and DON'T put it into the things you don't like. That's the purest signal and it works.

I'm calling it "The Apex Fallacy. " Aztecross: "Titanfall players...did playing Apex work out?" The desperate idea that if you play the game you don't like (Marathon) from a studio (Bungie), that they will make enough to reward you with the actual game you wanted (Destiny).

@ashleyschendel I didn't realize until you said it. I've had the same leather wallet for 35 years. It has lost a few inserts and has worn through in spots but it's still a great wallet.

Very rarely will you need to buy your husband a new wallet, but when that day comes, it is somehow a major household decision and you cannot screw it up. Men will carry the same wallet for 20 years with the corners falling apart and still say it’s fine. So this is not the moment for creativity. Slim, durable, leather if he’s a leather guy, metal if he already likes that kind of thing. Do not surprise a man with a weird wallet.

The Players Alliance plans a raid protest at EA’s main office in Redwood City on May 11. They will bring people dressed as game characters, a 50-foot petition signed by more than 70,000 people, and fake loot boxes. This is to show their concerns about EA’s $55 billion buyout deal. It would make EA a private company owned by a group that includes Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund, Silver Lake, and Affinity Partners. Protesters and video game unions fear the buyout will cause job losses, close game studios, increase AI use, and push players to spend more money.

@Grummz I had started Destiny 2 story and was enjoying it with my friends. I had a period of time that life was hectic so I had to take a break. When I got back to it, the story was gone and I had no idea what I was supposed to do. I uninstalled.

Bungie cost Sony dearly. They just reported marking down the studio value by nearly a billion dollars... All they had to do was not steal art and make Destiny 2 great again...
