@VividSydney Hey vivid, where are the lights on the harbour? We’re on a cruise to see them start at 6pm but it’s now 6:20 and nothing…. Feeling a bit ripped off.

Do you think maybe they could have backed away quickly from the 95 year old granny with the walking frame and steak knife?

Trying to find out what happened to one of my parcels was like the world's most boring detective story. Why is it so fucking hard USPS / AusPost?

‘This is how Dutton has fitted up debate his entire career. He never named the families who were too scared of African gangs to dine out in Melbourne. He never named the paedophiles he claimed would use medevac laws to reach Australia.’
The Saturday Paper@SatPaper

Editorial: The cornerstone of his politics is a vague, criminal other. The point is not the details. The point is fear, especially the clinging, vine-like fear of prejudice, the fear that is waiting for any encouragement to overgrow decency. #Insiders satpa.pe/edito1c5f8

As we step into this vile period of Australia's history as we 'debate' the very undebateable over the #VoiceToParliament - I want you to remember this from the prescient Toni Morrison - #Yes23

Leeser says he remains "committed to my party and the leadership of Peter Dutton" - but that "on the Voice Referendum we find ourselves in different places"

Wadalba Community School members walked off the job today. They’re tired of kids missing out & teachers burning out due to Perrottet’s teacher shortages. Teachers won’t stay under Perrottet.

@abcnews sanitizing this. The video shows police pushing at the counter protestors as they let the Nazis march on by.

There’s not all that many signs that make it irrefutably clear you’re on the wrong side of history and on the side of hate - but having actual nazis turn up to support you is top of the list

We had our school open night this evening and it was fantastic to see our hall packed with hundreds of families. It’s wonderful to show the community the high quality education provided by their local public school. The best school is your local public school. #publicschoolsrock

“If they really are refugees, why don’t they have to stay in the first safe country they reach?” “Why don’t they just claim asylum in France?” Here is my answer, once & for all. To Jonathan Gullis, and to everyone else who ever wondered. #RefugeesWelcome

UPDATE: in the lead up to George Pell's funeral 100s of CSA survivors & parents of dead children have tied ribbons on the #loudfence at St Mary's Cathedral...only to have them cut down by the church. Each ribbon represents a voice. The decision to tear them down is a symbolic/1
Pauline Pantsdown@PPantsdown

They’ve been busy taking them down, but there are little patches of them *all along* the cathedral. Got the impression they’re a bit overwhelmed. Nice work, folks.

This is what happens when you fail teachers   ✔️ Highest number of vacant positions in a decade ✔️ 3,311 positions vacant in November ✔️ 60% looking to leave in the next 5 years ✔️ Rate of young teachers leaving - 13 year high   Teachers won’t stay under Perrottet.

And it's *on*. Get yourself to St Mary's over the next few days, Sydney - we need lots of colour for Pell's memorial service to mark his true legacy. Remember the victims, not the enabler. This on the Cook & Philip pool end, but there are fences on the College St side too.
