This, but for all professions that create text outputs. The danger posed by LLMs isn't that it will become self aware, and it isn't that it will be able to do your job. Its that some executive somewhere will think it can.

This Iran war has some real "planning provided by Keegan Bradley" vibes.

@kindadidittho 100% agree, had no idea who she was prior. She was an absolute standout in a film full of good performances

so, while Hugh Jackman and Kate Hudson are doing perfectly fine in this film, Ella Anderson (who I hadn’t known of prior to watching) is the ultimate standout performance of the film….bravo to her

Here goes... Don Rea has proven himself to be unfit for office and should immediately tender his resignation to the PGA of America. If not, he should be sacked. For @bunkeredgolf: bunkered.co.uk/golf-news/mcew…

@kjrboston035485 @Mike_kim714 Azinger had a plan that worked and the PGA memory holed it. The problem starts and stops with the PGA of America, everything else is just a symptom

@Mike_kim714 Idk what you can do tho. Like at the end of the day the euro team is gonna have that chemistry and unity that the US team doesn’t have. Maybe the problem is we blow it up every Ryder cup no continuity idk. Every year US gets their ass kicked in alt shot idk what’s changing tht

I do wonder what the PGA of America thinks after this week. Is it look at all the money we brought in and that’s fantastic? Europe made all the putts and onto the next one? 🤷🏻‍♂️ Do they ultimately care if US wins? Let’s just pick who the next captain we want? Any long term planning or thinking for the US side?

@Mike_kim714 If it’s such an honor, why should they be paid? Look at it from the average golf fam perspective and you might understand. It’s a bad look when you lose a putting contest when you’re being paid to make them. When you start making them, we can have a legit discussion.

@Mike_kim714 Lets not forget Azinger developed a winning strategy and approach. Then the PGA memory holed it. The problem is the PGA of America, they have to go.

@Mike_kim714 The players need to demand the PGA of America relenquish control of the event. They are a parasitic org at this point, I doubt reform is possible.

@cmupensfan @KylePorterNS Caddies are the chief NCO's and America has an arrogant officer corps stuck in a bubble. Any way forward in my mind requires at least 1/3 caddy representation for all major decisions. The myth of the solo genuis needs to die. Even Luke Donald gives much of the credit to others.

@KylePorterNS Everyone knew what their role was before the weekend. There didnt have to be caddies getting together and saying, hey why is Scottie not hitting at 1 the drive. It needs changed, but American arrogance wont allow it

Europe often does just make more putts. They did this week. Leaving it at that, though, is wholly unsatisfactory. It’s more instructive (and interesting!) to ask *why* they make more putts. After 30 years of this (they’ve won 11 of 15), I refuse to believe it’s just statistical randomness.

@BrianKirschner_ @KylePorterNS Couple things from me... 1. The fact Colin and Harris begged Keegan to put them out again would never have happened for Europe. Luke would have said NO. First mistake. 2. Keegan had English in the envelope from the start yet he plays him in 2 sessions knowing he is the 12 man.

@eamonlynch @golfweek Typically brilliant. How can a country that hosts The Masters with such obvious class, also host The Ryder Cup with no class whatsoever?

About a month after this scene in October 2016, something newsworthy happened. It led to America’s notions of socially acceptable behavior changing a great deal. It is no coincidence.

Been wondering all week if, over time, I had glorified the opening tee scene at Hazeltine a bit much. Was it really that good? Then I watch the videos back and wonder how the vibe has changed so starkly at the last two US Ryder Cups.
