I’m reposting this because it’s worth repeating

@kindadidittho 100% agree, had no idea who she was prior. She was an absolute standout in a film full of good performances
English

so, while Hugh Jackman and Kate Hudson are doing perfectly fine in this film, Ella Anderson (who I hadn’t known of prior to watching) is the ultimate standout performance of the film….bravo to her

Solo@kindadidittho
English

All of the acting and cinematography were fantstic, but 100% agree that Ella was the person everyone was googling when they left the theatre.
Mike Palmer@MikePalmer_
SONG SUNG BLUE: a movie about how life is just an unrelenting, cruel bastard. The leads get most of the pub but Ella Anderson stole the show IMO.

Here goes...
Don Rea has proven himself to be unfit for office and should immediately tender his resignation to the PGA of America.
If not, he should be sacked.

@kjrboston035485 @Mike_kim714 Azinger had a plan that worked and the PGA memory holed it. The problem starts and stops with the PGA of America, everything else is just a symptom
English

@Mike_kim714 Idk what you can do tho. Like at the end of the day the euro team is gonna have that chemistry and unity that the US team doesn’t have. Maybe the problem is we blow it up every Ryder cup no continuity idk. Every year US gets their ass kicked in alt shot idk what’s changing tht
English

I do wonder what the PGA of America thinks after this week.
Is it look at all the money we brought in and that’s fantastic?
Europe made all the putts and onto the next one? 🤷🏻♂️
Do they ultimately care if US wins?
Let’s just pick who the next captain we want?
Any long term planning or thinking for the US side?

@Bigpicture22 @Mike_kim714 Why does the PGA of America get to profit from the event, using your same logic?
English

@Mike_kim714 If it’s such an honor, why should they be paid? Look at it from the average golf fam perspective and you might understand. It’s a bad look when you lose a putting contest when you’re being paid to make them. When you start making them, we can have a legit discussion.
English

@Mike_kim714 Lets not forget Azinger developed a winning strategy and approach. Then the PGA memory holed it.
The problem is the PGA of America, they have to go.
English

@Mike_kim714 The players need to demand the PGA of America relenquish control of the event. They are a parasitic org at this point, I doubt reform is possible.
English

@cmupensfan @KylePorterNS Caddies are the chief NCO's and America has an arrogant officer corps stuck in a bubble. Any way forward in my mind requires at least 1/3 caddy representation for all major decisions. The myth of the solo genuis needs to die. Even Luke Donald gives much of the credit to others.
English

@KylePorterNS Everyone knew what their role was before the weekend. There didnt have to be caddies getting together and saying, hey why is Scottie not hitting at 1 the drive. It needs changed, but American arrogance wont allow it
English

@mcfadyenr @BrianKirschner_ @KylePorterNS I hope JJ Spaun or Xander Shauffle snatch every win Keegan gets close to for the rest of his career. He deserves it.
English

@BrianKirschner_ @KylePorterNS Couple things from me... 1. The fact Colin and Harris begged Keegan to put them out again would never have happened for Europe. Luke would have said NO. First mistake. 2. Keegan had English in the envelope from the start yet he plays him in 2 sessions knowing he is the 12 man.
English

@FlatCapGolfer @eamonlynch @golfweek The Masters makes around $150 million and leaves $300 million on the table by protecting the brand. That behavior is so incredibly rare, and requires such a long term vision, its become all but extinct in america. medium.com/the-ao/the-bus…
English

@eamonlynch @golfweek Typically brilliant. How can a country that hosts The Masters with such obvious class, also host The Ryder Cup with no class whatsoever?

About a month after this scene in October 2016, something newsworthy happened. It led to America’s notions of socially acceptable behavior changing a great deal. It is no coincidence.

Been wondering all week if, over time, I had glorified the opening tee scene at Hazeltine a bit much. Was it really that good? Then I watch the videos back and wonder how the vibe has changed so starkly at the last two US Ryder Cups.
English

@Snarky_Crafter @megadkins_TFE Its not an international cup event by any stretch, but the Grant Thornton Invitational shows how good this can be.
English

@megadkins_TFE I’ve been saying this all
Week.. in the past I’ve always wanted a mixed gender match play event but now I’m rethinking that. The PGA is toxic
