@petarcopyrock If people want to listen to it then that’s fine but it shouldn’t be generating any income because of the way streaming platforms pay, it takes money away from the real humans making music.

There's an AI artist currently sat 6th on the iTunes UK Chart this week.
The act is also smashing the life out of Spotify streaming numbers as well.
I don't think consumers are really that bothered about whether or not a track is made by AI (only 3% of listeners can detect an AI song apparently). If you listen to Eddie Dalton, you're listening to AI. The artwork is usually the biggest giveaway before you hear the music.
But I think platforms should be communicating what happens with the royalties these songs are making, when you consider how many songs like this can be churned out for little to no effort.
We keep getting told this music is not allowed to be uploaded to distribution services - but clearly it is.

@Plastician I don’t know who’s saying it’s not allowed but they’re wrong, there’s more to creating music than singing, people act like if you don’t sing you’re not an artist which is bizarre, some people just do lyrics, some people just do guitar etc, and that’s ok

You cannot write real lyrics if you do not UNDERSTAND the world around you.
Rock isn't just power chords and attitude.
It's Lennon quoting Blake,
Springsteen channeling Steinbeck,
Dylan pulling from folk tradition,
the Stones ripping off blues masters they actually studied.
Every great riff came from someone who listened beyond their bedroom wall.
The weakest songwriters think passion alone is enough.
The strongest ones know their history, their literature, their streets.
You don't need a degree.
But you do need to pay attention.
