I've just watched the CCTV footage of the student dorm fire at Utumishi Girls, and honestly, I'm shaken. The footage reportedly shows seven students walking through the dormitory. Two of them appear to start a fire at one end of the dorm. Moments later, another fire is allegedly started near the entrance using mattresses before they run away. What I can't understand is this: what was the end goal? Did they think everyone would get out safely? Did they believe the fire would somehow stop on its own? These were bright students with promising futures, yet 19 innocent girls lost their lives. The more I think about it, the harder it becomes to comprehend. Was this simply reckless behavior, or does it point to something far more serious? Justice for the 19 students who passed away. May they never be forgotten.
