Big East needs expansion in my opinion, some candidates to add to the Big East:
- Syracuse (they need us)
- Notre Dame (IND for fball, also need us for basketball)
- Saint Louis (great location, great fans, perfect fit)
Likely no:
Dayton, VCU

The solution to March Madness isn’t expansion it is REDUCTION.
We need to get rid of automatic qualifiers, ESPECIALLY with NIL.
There is NO CHANCE that Long Island and Prairie View make deeper runs than Auburn or Oklahoma would.

@ryankopVCU No insider info, just looks like a great pedigree in a basketball-centric league and like the familiarity with the A-10 in its hey-day with Temple and John Chaney. Seems like a solid choice!

Sources: The Atlantic 10 is targeting Big East senior associate commissioner Dan Leibovitz as the conference’s next commissioner. A deal is expected to come together in the near future. Leibovitz has worked at the SEC, American and as a college coach and NBA assistant.

This is about as ideal an outcome as the Atlantic 10 could’ve had. Saint Louis earns their auto bid by dominating the league in the regular season, while their current best team at the moment gets the auto bid.

@golfguy44 @cbrsx15 as much as i enjoy schertz owning vcu since he came to the A10, 2-0 next year too n hopefully a A10 title but obv anything can happen in March/conference tourneys. just don’t know why yall dog on us when it’s great for the A10 if slu is consistently good
