FFXIV player here. Short answer: Livid. Long answer: The MMO division, of SE (FF14, FF11, and DQ) in 2025 made around 54% of SE's profits, most of that driven by FF14 Endwalker made around 60%+ of company's operating profit between 2021-2022 If FF14 folds, SE is not far behind.

June 17th I will be putting FFXIV down. It's a hard choice to have made. I will always cherish the memories I have of the game, but on the 17th my journey comes to an end... . . . and then after i finish the new warframe quest on the 17th i will be back to ff14

@FFVIINovels X-2 also undid the amazingly good albeit heartbreaking ending of X. People forget that happy ending and good ending are not synonyms. X had an amazing ending to an amazing story and X-2 was just like “nah, j/k, no one ever has to sacrifice anything as long as they’re an MC.”
